Scrounge

A little yellow Autobot who was a companion of Blaster. He had a microphone and video camera built into one of his hands. He can transform into a wheel-like vehicle. He had strong ties with the "Dead Zone" and its inhabitants. He is currently deceased.

Comic Bio (US):

Scrounge was first seen investigating the disappearance of Spanner, a Cybertronian scientist. He got information from the inhabitants of the "Dead End", a part of Cybertron where the mentally and physically damaged go. Scrounge went to Darkmount, home of the Decepticon ruler Lord Straxus. Scrounge then used his "special" hand to spy on the Decepticons to find out information on Spanner. Using his two data-collecting fingers, and venturing them through the ventilation system, he learned about the spacebridge as well. Pulling his fingers out, he set off an alarm inside the vent shaft. Scrounge transformed and sped away. On the way, he radioed Blaster, who was looking for him. Scrounge arrived in the Dead End shortly after, whereupon his path was blocked by one of the "Empties" who wanted some Energon. While Scrounge was talking to him, he was snagged by Shrapnel. Shrapnel took him to Lord Straxus who ripped off Scrounge's arm and ordered that he be thrown into the Smelting Pool.

When Blaster went to Darkmount to look for him, like Scrounge, Blaster was caught and thrown into the Smelting Pool. In there, Blaster found the half-melted Scrounge. Blaster is saved by his Autobot friends, but before Blaster left, Scrounge gave him a disk from inside his head and dropped into the pool. Upon returning to the Autobase, Perceptor read the disk and found on it a message from Soundwave telling them that the Decepticons and Autobots lost 4 million years ago were still alive.
