Brawn

Brawn Allegiance: Autobot Function: Demolitions First Comic Appearance: Transformers # 1 "Might over microchips." Profile: Brawn looks on Earth as essentially a hostile environment-and he loves it. He is the most macho of the Autobots. He delights in challenges and when he faces one he becomes fully alive. He is strong, rugged and very agile-which is why he is frequently teamed with Bumblebee when the Autobots are in a mountainous environment- but it is his enjoyment of the challenge that makes him valuable to his leader, Optimus Prime. He won't be discouraged and that helps the morale of the rest. He is hardy and enjoys a good joke, if it is not too subtle. His main fault is that he tends to be contemptuous of those not as tough as he. Abilities: Brawn is one of the strongest Autobots. He can lift up to 190,000 Ibs. and knock down a small building with one punch. His endurance and resistance to artillery fire are among the highest of the Autobots. Weaknesses: As the Autobot with perhaps the least sophisticated circuitry-most of his components focus on his strength-Brawn is very vulnerable to attack by electromagnetic and other types of waves. His eagerness to show off his strength often results in his using it improperly and without thinking. He's been known to destroy an entire building before realizing it's the wrong one.

Cartoon Bio (US):

Brawn met his demise in 2005 during a Decepticon raid that took place on a shuttle destined for Autobot City. Brawn was onboard and attempted to stop the attacking Decepticons. He was shot in the right shoulder and was killed by Megatron in gun mode, fired by Starscream.

  Comic Bio (US):

  Brawn joined Optimus Prime on a mission to gather energy. In the ensuing battle, the Autobot ship crash landed on planet Earth. Brawn helped the Autobots in their struggle against the Decepticons, until he and the other Autobots were rendered unconscious by Shockwave. They were eventually rescued and revived by the Autobot medic, Ratchet. Soon after, on a mision to retrieve Optimus Prime`s head from Decepticon grasp, Brawn was again badly damaged when Prime was mind-controlled by the Decepticons.

  Brawn was revived a year later, and lived with the other Autobots in the Ark, which was now orbiting in space. But soon, Brawn's life was taken again. Starscream gained the power of the Underbase and destroyed Brawn and a bunch of other Transformers.

  [Ed: It is assumed Brawn was revived along with Starscream's other victims when Grimlock pumped Nucleon into the Ark's stasis pods.]

  Brawn was one of the Autobots sent to stop Megatron when he reappeared on Earth. More powerful than ever, Megatron easily wiped out the Autobots, but for Brawn, he initiated an enormous detonation to vaporize both Brawn and the Autobot spacecraft in one shot.
